Ryanne Bright, LCPC (Founder)

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in child and adolescent counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of Illinois. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by Behavioral Tech, LLC.  I continue to attend and present workshops and seminars on substance abuse, self-harming behaviors, child/adolescent development, DBT and stress management.

For the past 15 years I have worked in a variety of behavioral health settings including in-patient, intensive out-patient, and out-patient facilities providing individual, group, and family therapy.  I worked for and have been affiliated with such organizations as Provena Mercy Center, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, Rush University Medical Center, and Resurrection Behavioral Health-Addiction Services.

I am currently the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of The Child, Adolescent and Family Recovery Center, LLC (CAFRC). CAFRC is a fully licensed and JCAHO accredited Intensive Out-Patient Program for adolescents and young adults in Lake Bluff, IL.

In working with clients and their families, I have discovered several techniques to address resistance and opposition towards change. Through the use of an eclectic approach utilizing DBT, Person-Centered, and Play Therapy, I identify and focus on maladaptive coping skills and gear therapy toward the development of new healthy and effective ways of dealing with life issues.

I work with children, adolescents and adults. Specialties include: Substance Abuse; Anger Management; Anxiety; Self-Injury and other self-destructive behaviors;  Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning (GLBTQ) issues; and Adjustment Disorders. I also co-facilitate a young adult DBT Skills group.
